Basketball Recap: Vail Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vail Christian can now relate to. They were beaten by the Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes 77-26 on Friday. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Bishop Machebeuf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Menke, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 10 points along with eight steals and seven assists. That's the most steals Menke has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Miles Edgar-Parchman, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Vail Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Bishop Machebeuf, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.

Vail Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Machebeuf, they and Limon will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
