Basketball Game Preview: Beechwood Tigers vs. Dixie Heights Colonels

The Beechwood Tigers will square off against the Dixie Heights Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Beechwood sitting on four straight victories and Dixie Heights on six.

Beechwood is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since February 9, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Newport, sneaking past 59-57.

Meanwhile, Dixie Heights got the win against Tates Creek on Thursday by a conclusive 60-40. The Colonels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Beechwood has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Dixie Heights, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Beechwood might still be hurting after the 63-41 defeat they got from Dixie Heights in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Beechwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
