Basketball Recap: Iola Takes a Loss

Iola was the 67-52 winner over Burton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Iola Bulldogs fell 65-58 to the Burton Panthers on Friday.

Iola has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Burton, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iola will challenge Snook at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burton, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Burton Panthers take on the Bremond Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
