The Pacific Pirates will challenge the Patriot Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pacific can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Wednesday. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sultana. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Pacific got top-tier performance from Maurice Fitzgerald, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 12 boards. The matchup was Fitzgerald's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Gerone Samedi, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Patriot didn't have quite enough to beat Tahquitz on Thursday and fell 43-40.
