Basketball Recap: Fairmont Prep Comes Up Short

If Fairmont Prep was riding high fresh off their 65-38 takedown of Aquinas last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fairmont Prep Huskies took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Alemany Warriors on Saturday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Fairmont Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Bishop Alemany, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Fairmont Prep will head out on the road to face off against Western Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairmont Prep is facing Western Christian at the right time seeing as Western Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bishop Alemany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harvard-Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard-Westlake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Bishop Alemany likes a good challenge.
