The Ellet Orangemen will face off against the Medina Battling Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Ellet's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Medina has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Friday, Ellet made easy work of Canton Central Catholic and carried off a 20-3 victory. Considering the Orangemen have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Rylie Sprouse was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Simmons, who scored five runs while going 4-for-4. Lulu Russell was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Ellet kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Medina fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Elyria Catholic on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7.
Katie Rubino made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Allar, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.
Ellet's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Medina, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ellet has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .541. However, it's not like Medina struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
