Cedar Valley will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Maple Mountain extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Aviators by a score of 6-2. That's two games straight that the Golden Eagles have won by exactly four runs.

Kavyn Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Erickson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
