Baseball Recap: Suffern Mounties vs. Clarkstown North Rams
Suffern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkstown North Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Suffern of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
For Clarkstown North's part, Jack Kavanagh was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Santulli, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Suffern's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Clarkstown North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Suffern will head out on the road to square off against Tappan Zee at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
