Baseball Preview: Cedarburg Bulldogs vs. Nicolet Knights
Cedarburg hasn't had much luck against Nicolet recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Knights at 4:45 p.m.
Monday just wasn't the day for Cedarburg's offense. They came up short against Whitefish Bay on Monday, falling 6-0. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Meanwhile, Nicolet had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They never let the Black Hawks get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly five runs.
Jack Stuck was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched.
