Baseball Recap: Fontainebleau Takes a Loss

Fontainebleau fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Northshore on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Fontainebleau's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Northshore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-4-1 record this season.

Fontainebleau will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. As for Northshore, they will head out on the road to take on Slidell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
