Softball Recap: Picayune Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pascagoula last Thursday, Picayune came back down to earth. The Maroon Tide fell just short of the Harrison Central Red Rebels by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Maroon Tide were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Picayune's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Harrison Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-12.

Coming up, Picayune will head out on the road to face off against George County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison Central, they will welcome West Harrison at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
