Football Recap: Ashley Gets the Win + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Ashley rose to the challenge on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over the Cary Imps. The win was some much needed relief for the Screaming Eagle as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bryson Lovelace was his usual excellent self, rushing for 122 yards and two scores.

When it comes to explaining why Cary lost, don't look at Nick Grena. Despite the final result, he rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs.

Ashley's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Cary, they dropped their record down to 7-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Ashley has already played their next matchup, a 33-0 loss against Hillside on the 14th. Cary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
