Baseball Game Preview: Vancleave Bulldogs vs. East Central Hornets

For the second straight game, Vancleave will face off against East Central. Vancleave will face off against East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vancleave is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

East Central will be up against a hot Vancleave team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Vancleave was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over East Central on Friday.

Dane McElroy spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Martin Shaw was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Harper, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

East Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Vancleave, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
