It was a proper cat-fight when St. Agnes Academy challenged St. Pius X on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was St. Agnes Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-13.

Despite the loss, St. Pius X still got an impressive performance from Carolina Lopez, who had five digs and two aces. Georgia Griffith also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

St. Agnes Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for St. Pius X, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12-1.

St. Agnes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Pius X, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Village on the 23rd.
