It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Homestead had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 57-51 win over the Huntington North Vikings. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won five games in a row.

Huntington North lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dalton Husband, who shot 73% from the field en route to 20 points and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Zahn, who earned 15 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Huntington North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Homestead has already played their next contest, a 56-52 victory against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 8th. Huntington North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
