Basketball Recap: Streamwood Comes Up Short

Streamwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 86-34 defeat at the hands of the Downers Grove South Mustangs. The game marked the Sabres' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kobe Stein was Streamwood's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Jaelin Tate took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Streamwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Downers Grove South, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Coming up, Streamwood is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Aurora East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sabres will be up against the Tomcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Downers Grove South, they will be playing at home against Saint Viator at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
