 Gibson Southern is 8-0 against Tell City since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Gibson Southern Titans will head out on the road to  square off against  the Tell City Marksmen at 5:30  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gibson Southern comes in on nine and Tell City on three.
 Gibson Southern stacked  a  13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Princeton with a sharp  11-1 victory.
  Carly Potts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ally Malone was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last eight games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Payton Cummings, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  matchup, Tell City made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Pike Central  on Wednesday. Tell City came out on top against Pike Central by a score of  15-11.
 Gibson Southern's win was  their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 23-4. As for Tell City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
 Gibson Southern was able to grind out a solid  win over Tell City when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, winning  4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibson Southern since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
