Allison Howlett posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Howlett and Watertown will welcome Waunakee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Goslings got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Warriors thanks in part to Howlett: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.
