Basketball Game Preview: Pemberton Hornets vs. Holy Cross Lancers

Pemberton is 1-7 against Holy Cross since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pemberton Hornets will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Holy Cross Lancers at 5:30 p.m.

Pemberton is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They fell 46-39 to Lawrence. One positive for the Hornets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, after only 25 points in their last contest, Holy Cross made sure to put some points up on the board against Vineland on Friday. Holy Cross walked away with a 55-43 win over Vineland. That looming 55-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lancers yet this season.

Pemberton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Holy Cross, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Things could have been worse for Pemberton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-43 loss to Holy Cross in their previous meeting back in January. Can Pemberton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
