Volleyball Recap: Lake Nona Takes a Loss

Lake Nona saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sunlake Seahawks.

Maya Misra paced Lake Nona's offense, picking up eight kills. Misra were helped by Olivia Tome and Aleign Bagay, who contributed eight assists each.

Lake Nona has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Sunlake, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Lake Nona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Mount Paran Christian on the 29th. As for Sunlake, they will face off against Winter Haven at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
