Volleyball Game Preview: Onaga Buffaloes vs. Centralia Panthers

Onaga hasn't had much luck against Centralia recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will head out to challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Onaga is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since September 13th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Blue Valley.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Onaga who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Centralia beat Leavenworth 2-0 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the PIONEERS: they've now won four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16.

Onaga's record now sits at 13-6-3. As for Centralia, their record is now 21-4-3.

Onaga came up short against Centralia in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Buffaloes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
