Softball Recap: Warrenton Warriors vs. Rainier Columbians

Warrenton was the 4-3 winner over Rainier when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 9-4 to the Columbians on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucy Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Pike, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Warrenton's loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Rainier, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Coming up, Warrenton will head out on the road to challenge Corbett at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Rainier, they will welcome Portland Adventist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
