Basketball Recap: Hagen Miller Key Part of a Team Effort in Cowboys Win

Woodson won the last time they faced Newcastle and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Woodson Cowboys walked away with a 68-58 win over the Newcastle Bobcats.

Woodson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hagen Miller out in front who went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Those 20 points gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Munoz, who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points and three steals.

Woodson's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-11. As for Newcastle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Woodson will challenge Garner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Garner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Newcastle, they will square off against Throckmorton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newcastle is facing Throckmorton at the right time seeing as Throckmorton is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
