Baseball Recap: Dana Hills Falls Short of Arrowhead Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dana Hills can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arrowhead Christian Eagles on Thursday. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dana Hills got a good showing from Ben Moulin, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Moulin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dana Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Bateson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Bateson's first of the season.

Dana Hills' loss dropped their record down to 12-16-1. As for Arrowhead Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-11.

Dana Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arrowhead Christian, they will head out to take on Warren at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
