Football Recap: Kinnelon Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Kinnelon had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 6-0 to make it eight. They blew past the Boonton Bombers 44-18. The Colts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Boonton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Boonton's loss came despite strong showings from Phoenix LaCorte and Josiah Chaplain. LaCorte rushed for 86 yards and two TDs, while Chaplain rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Chaplain also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Coming up, Kinnelon will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopatcong at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Boonton, they will head out on the road to face off against North Warren Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
