Softball Recap: Denfeld Takes a Loss

Denfeld was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-3 to the Proctor Rails. If the Hunters were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Rails when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coco Flaig was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Bridgette Vegar, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Denfeld's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Proctor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denfeld will square off against Mahtomedi at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Proctor, they will host Grand Rapids at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
