East Burke waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 60-41 victory over the Bandys Trojans. 60 seems to be a good number for the Cavaliers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

East Burke's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kara Brinkley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. Brinkley is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Stilwell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists.

Despite the defeat, Bandys had strong showings from Lexi Vaughan, who posted eight points along with ten boards and three blocks, and Addison Bell, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 34.1% of Bandys' points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Cross, who had four points and five steals.

East Burke pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Bandys, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.
