Northmont and Beavercreek are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Thunderbolts will head out to take on the Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Saturday, Northmont didn't have quite enough to beat Kenton Ridge and fell 4-3. The Thunderbolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northmont saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Lykins, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Lykins hit this season. Aidan Pendleton was another, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Beavercreek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to Ottawa Hills.

Beavercreek's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Northmont, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Northmont came up short against Beavercreek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Thunderbolts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
