            Baseball Recap: El Paso-Gridley Titans vs. Clinton Maroons        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Henry-Senachwine  on Saturday, El Paso-Gridley came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the Clinton Maroons by a score of  5-4 on Monday.
 El Paso-Gridley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Caden Castleman, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
El Paso-Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 8-19-1. As for Clinton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record  this season.
 El Paso-Gridley and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Titans will  face off against  Mt. Pulaski  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday with a big rank  disadvantage  (433 vs. 149). Meanwhile,  Clinton (ranked 383rd) will meet Maroa-Forsyth (ranked 111th)  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
