Soccer Game Preview: Gilroy vs. Leland

The Gilroy Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Leland Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gilroy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Teresa just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints.

Gilroy's goal came courtesy of Alejandro Aparicio - Cuevas, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Leland came up short against Live Oak on Tuesday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Leland have lost by exactly two goals.

Gilroy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5-1. As for Leland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2.
