Monett came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Seneca Indians 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-12.

Peyton Brandt paced Monett's offense, picking up 16 kills. Brandt got some help from Morgan Wright and her 37 assists. Kylee Holloway controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Monett's victory bumped their record up to 15-5-1. As for Seneca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20-1 record this season.

Monett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Reeds Spring on the 6th. As for Seneca, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against East Newton on the 7th.
