Softball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 37-1 to the East Valley Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-2 on Saturday.

North Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micaela Mendez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Mendez's first of the season. Emilie Kellar was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Central will square off against rival West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Rogers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
