Baseball Recap: Southside Christian Comes Up Short

Southside Christian and Bethel Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Southside Christian had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ethan Busdieker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bethel Christian Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Southside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will challenge Greenville Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
