Baseball Recap: Braxton County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Braxton County's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Webster County Highlanders. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Owen Lowther, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Braxton County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 2-16 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Luke Kelly, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
