Basketball Recap: Venice's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Venice hadn't done well against Los Angeles CES recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Venice Gondoliers strolled past the Los Angeles CES Unicorns with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The victory was some much needed relief for the Gondoliers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Venice's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-13. As for Los Angeles CES, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

When Venice and Los Angeles CES next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Venice will try to stop George Washington Prep's three-game winning streak when the meet at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Los Angeles CES will take on Foshay and their four-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
