Softball Game Preview: Westminster Christian Warriors vs. Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack

The Westminster Christian Warriors will take on the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westminster Christian has six straight victories, Schoolhouse Prep has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Westminster Christian proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitcher stepped up to hand American Heritage a 2-0 shutout.

Not much got past Kaley Dyer, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep American Heritage off the board. Dyer has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westminster Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erin Perez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Perez has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Schoolhouse Prep lost 12-1 to Western on Tuesday.

Westminster Christian pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Schoolhouse Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
