Basketball Recap: Strong Comes Up Short

Strong suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Thursday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Junction City Dragons an easy 67-45 win. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row dating back to last season.

Strong's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Junction City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strong will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Columbia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Junction City, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ouachita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ouachita will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Junction City surely won't give up without a fight.
