Basketball Game Preview: Malcolm Clippers vs. North Bend Central Tigers

Malcolm has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Bend Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Clippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Malcolm came up short against Auburn and fell 50-38. The defeat continues a trend for the Clippers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Malcolm might have lost, but man, Preston Kucera was a machine: he went 10-for-23 on his way to 26 points and three steals. Kucera is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Chase Smith, who posted four points.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Bend Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past Seward with a 74-69 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Bend Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Malcolm, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Malcolm beat North Bend Central 68-56 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Clippers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
