Recap: Central Falls Warriors vs. Prout Crusaders

The Central Falls Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They managed a 68-62 victory over Prout. With that win, Central Falls brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Ortiz, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The game was Ortiz's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moises Maldonado, who scored 18 points.

Central Falls' victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Prout, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Central Falls won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Warwick at 6:45 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (West Warwick is ranked 35th, while Central Falls is ranked 37th). Prout's road trip will continue as they head out to face Moses Brown at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th. One thing working in Moses Brown's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
