Baseball Recap: Greenon Takes a Loss

Greenon might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Madison Plains who claimed the real prize. The Knights came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 14-4. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Grayson Meizler was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Houseman, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Greenon's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Madison Plains, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Golden Eagles beat Greenon by a score of 14-3 on Tuesday.
