Baseball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Clinton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Yazoo County Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 14-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Clinton Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Crimson Barrett, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Clinton Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Yazoo County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Clinton Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greenville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Yazoo County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Yazoo County Panthers take on Edwards Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in their favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
