Baseball Recap: Bogue Chitto Drops Season-High Score on Loyd Star

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bogue Chitto). Everything went their way against the Loyd Star Hornets on Friday as Bogue Chitto made off with a 15-3 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Bogue Chitto got a massive performance out of Landon Wright, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave Wright a new career-high. Alex Michael Roberts also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Wright wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bogue Chitto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Bogue Chitto's record is now 5-7. As for Loyd Star, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Loyd Star beat Bogue Chitto by a score of 10-6 later that day.
