Football Game Preview: Willis Wildkats vs. Conroe Tigers + How To Watch

The Willis Wildkats will challenge the Conroe Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Conroe likes a good challenge.

Willis is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing New Caney: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildkats blew the Eagles out of the water with a 42-7 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

Willis' win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lincoln Frazier, who threw for 335 yards and four TDs. Frazier's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildkats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jaivion Martin, who picked up 117 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Conroe ended up a good deal behind Grand Oaks on Thursday and lost 28-14.

Willis has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for Conroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Willis against Conroe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-7 victory. In that contest, the Wildkats amassed a halftime lead of 42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
