Volleyball Recap: Village Has No Trouble Against D'evelyn

Village not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the D'Evelyn Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountaineers.

One reason for the win was Village's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-7.

Norah Hollis paced Village's offense, picking up nine kills. Hollis got some help from Addison Miller and her 33 assists. Dylan Teague controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Village's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for D'Evelyn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Village didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Pueblo South on the 1st. As for D'Evelyn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Green Mountain on the 2nd.
