Hattiesburg extends home winning streak to seven

The Hattiesburg Tigers had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-56 win over Terry. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Stephen McCullon Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. The game was his 19th in a row with at least ten points. Tristan Wesco was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Hattiesburg pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Terry, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Hattiesburg will head out on the road to face off against Pearl River Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearl River Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Hattiesburg is ranked 13th). As for Terry, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jim Hill at 7:30 p.m. Jim Hill is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
