Soccer Game Preview: Lisbon vs. Lin-Wood

The Lisbon Panthers will square off against the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lisbon's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Mount Royal Academy 7-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Lisbon considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Lin-Wood hadn't done well against Newfound Regional recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lumberjacks were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Bears. Surprisingly, this marked Lin-Wood's third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Lin-Wood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-14-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for Lisbon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
