Volleyball Recap: Genoa-Hugo Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Genoa-Hugo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Otis Bulldogs on Friday, falling 3-0.

Among those leading the charge was Lydia Willeke, who had 12 digs.

The victory (which was Otis' fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Genoa-Hugo will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Byers at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Otis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cheyenne Wells on the 20th.
