Volleyball Game Preview: Samueli Academy Firewolves vs. Pacifica Christian Tritons

The Samueli Academy Firewolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Pacifica Christian Tritons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Samueli Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Samueli Academy will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Fairmont Prep, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Firewolves blew past the Huskies 3-0 on Tuesday.

Samueli Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fairmont Prep between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Pacifica Christian got the win against San Gabriel Academy on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Pacifica Christian never let San Gabriel Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-19.

Pacifica Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Samueli Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3.

Samueli Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Pacifica Christian when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Firewolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
