After losing to West Jefferson the last time they met, West St. John decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The West St. John Rams walked away with a 37-27 victory over the West Jefferson Buccaneers on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, West Jefferson had strong showings from Savannah Washington, who posted 12 points, and Akeelah Harris, who scored eight points. Those eight points gave Harris a new career-high.

West St. John is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for West Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 7-21 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
