Volleyball Recap: Chittenango Makes It 13 in a Row on the Road

Chittenango entered their tilt with Proctor on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They had just enough and edged the Proctor Raiders out 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in December of 2024.

Chittenango had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 17-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-10.

Ryan Thousand paced Chittenango's offense, picking up 13 kills. Thousand got some help from Logan Bronner and his 36 assists. Seth Boulter controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chittenango's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Proctor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Chittenango has already played their next game (against Herkimer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Proctor will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rome Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
